Amy & John Cervantes
Amy and John Cervantes founded Bright Blessings in 2005 with the simple hope of bringing a little joy to local homeless children while introducing their own young children to the joys of volunteering. Their family service project that began at one homeless shelter quickly grew into a thriving non-profit organization, and today Bright Blessings serves more than 13,000 children across a five-county region. In 2018, after 13 years of service as the Volunteer CEO & Director, Amy Cervantes stepped aside as the organization's leader to spend more time with her family. While she, John and their three children remain actively involved in the organization, they were blessed to turn over the day-to-day leadership and operations to longtime staff member, Tisha Margraves, who now serves as Executive Director.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization.
Without them none of this would be possible.

On behalf of the thousands of local children that Bright Blessings serves, our Staff and Board of Directors are grateful to every volunteer that passionately supports this mission. Every year, over 7,000 community volunteers give their time and efforts to bring joy, care and hope to children who are struggling with poverty and homelessness. These helping hands and hearts make all the difference!
